Giveaway Time!

Aloha, lovelies! :-)

I have been MIA since my last post a couple of weeks ago, and I do apologize. Real life has been kicking me in the butt.

I did intend to have a Black Friday Giveaway to celebrate my jump into the blogging world. Instead, I spent Black Friday with my children. We took a cruise to the other side of the island (a two hour drive) and spent the day in Kona: ice shave, cruising Ali'i Drive, lunch and then the beach before heading back home. A day well spent. A blessing, indeed.

Without further ado, I am going to be hosting my first giveaway. Yay! It's small and simple, but I did promise one so here it is. I do not have Internet access at my dad's house so I am using my daughter's laptop here at her house. I will post pics of the prizes this evening and be sure to upload them tomorrow afternoon so everyone can see what they're vying for.

The prize is ALL Island Girl products: nail polish and a bottle of their cuticle oil (lavendar scented).   It may not be a whopper of a prize, but it is something. Right? What makes this prize unique is that Island Girl polish is exclusively made for the ABC Store chain throughout Hawai'i and in Las Vegas. It's a two hour drive to get to the nearest one where I live so these polishes/oils are not easy to come by. Never fear! I'll be making another trip to Kona after the Christmas holiday to stock up, so to speak.

The giveaway will begin at midnight (in approximately 11 hours, my time!), Monday, November 26, 2012 and ends at midnight, December 16, 2012. I'm so sorry but this is only for U.S. followers. At this time, I cannot afford to ship internationally. :-( I will let you know when I can include international lovelies in a future giveaway.

Mahalo everyone, and good luck! :-)

A hui hou, e malama pono,
Jo

  1. My favorite brand is China Glaze. There are more expensive brands I know but China Glaze is not only reasonably priced but they always manage to not only have different creative polishes but also manage to dupe the pricier stuff pretty closely!

  2. There was no place under the Answer a Question area for me to put my email address :(

    1. Oooooh! Mahalo for sharing, Kara. I don't think Zoya likes me. Or maybe it's just her Purity that doesn't like me. Lol!

  4. If I had to choose just one I guess it would be China Glaze - easy to find and digging majority of the shades!

  5. Awesome! I wish China Glaze was easy to find here. I will have to check the new Sally's in Kona when I go back after Christmas. Mahalo for entering! :-)

  6. I love Color Clubs, so I guess I would have to choose that one, but only one brand is depressing! LOL <3

    1. Haha I agree! But it's fun to see which one all you lovelies would "save" should there be a total nail polish apocalypse. Lol. :-)

  7. For me, that's like choosing between oxygen or being hydrated. I need both :P

  8. I think I'll have to go with Butter London.

    ReplyDelete
  9. China glaze for their formula price and color selection

    ReplyDelete
  10. If I HAD to choose, it would be either China Glaze or OPI. The color range and finishes are fabulous <3

  11. Hands down, Zoya!! There formula is smooth and easy to apply.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Definitely Zoya, I love the formula and the fact that they have a HUGE color selection and rarely discontinue polishes. :D

  13. For me, it would be China Glaze because of their availability, color selection, and price. Thank you for hosting this give-away and Welcome to the blog world!

  14. china glaze for sure. Great formula, great price and they just keep getting better!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Please don't make me choose just one!! LOL. I think I'd go with China Glaze but only because they are always putting tons of new colors out. If I were rich it'd be Nailnation polish for life. ;-)

  16. I would have to say Zoya or China Glaze. I think I'd probably lean more towards China Glaze, because they seem more adventurous in their colour choices!

  18. Essie and OPI are my fav brands. Awesome colors and formula, easily accessible and not too expensive:)

    ReplyDelete
  19. One brand! *gasp* Hmmm...quite possibly an indie brand called Different Dimension. She makes amazing polishes that are just awesome with a wide variety of colors and finishes and unique blends. For mass brand, Zoya. Welcome to blogging and thank you for the giveaway!

  20. I don't know if I could only do one brand... that would be way too tough- I think I might go with OPI since they have a million colors and glitters and everything in between (though they aren't my fav brand- I would just want selection!!!) :)

  21. f4 polish... i just love how creative their stuff is!

    ReplyDelete
  22. ChinaGlaze! They have so many colors and they have a wonderful staying power!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Probably China Glaze! I love their colors and the quality.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I haven't really tried very many kinds, especially not the expensive ones. Although I really want them, money is always very tight with me so I just can't spend the money on OPI or Essie or the like. I do like Sally Hansen's different ones, and Ulta's is good when they have a great sale.

    ReplyDelete
  25. My fave would be opi! I love that they're always coming out with different collections correlated to movies/artists definitely keeping up with the times lol. I find that their formulas are pretty consistent and do what they say they will

    ReplyDelete
  26. I would choose Sinful Colors - they have such a range of types of polishes and if I am buying polish for the rest of my life (that's how I have chosen to interpret this, lol) I would definitely want to purchased in expensive polish. I also never use up bottles, so it makes no sense for me to buy more expensive brands. (But I still do. Sigh.)

    ReplyDelete
  27. I would choose Sally Hansen because they are always coming out with new lines of polish, and i like most of them

    ReplyDelete
  28. maybe Zoya.. I love their colors. Their polishes never seem to last long on my nails, so I guess I'd have the added bonus of being able to change my nails up more often :D

    ReplyDelete
  29. Probably Sally Hansen, not too expensive and always coming out with new lines

    ReplyDelete
  30. definitely zoya! i love that they're big 5-free and vegan, along with having amazing formulas and great colors! thanks for the giveaway :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. KBShimmer or China Glaze. I think KBShimmer is one the best indie brands I've found and China Glaze I thought the colors and how long it lasts.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love china glaze. They always seem to have just the right color I am looking for and almost always go on & stay on great :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Probably China Glaze. They make so many different colors with different effects with different textures!

    ReplyDelete
  34. omg... tough... sally hansen. they keep an affordable line as well as salon quality lines. great variety & keeps up with trends.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think China Glaze just because they have so many different colors!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Ughhhhhh!! Really??? Such a difficult question!!!
Umm.... OPI because of the color variety and the quality!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think I would only buy China Glaze. I have ~40 bottles already and they have the best formula and color selection, I think. And they haven't switched to the stupid flat bush which I hate!

    ReplyDelete
  38. It would be Opi, the colors are beautiful, the formula flawless.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I would have to say China Glaze because of all the different colors and, I just love China Glaze! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hm... Tough question... I would have to say Essie, or OPI. I have the most of both of those. If I lived in Hawaii, it'd be Island Girl for sure! LOVE THEM!

    ReplyDelete
  41. It would have to be China Glaze. The quality is great, the selection is amazing, and they are so affordable!

    ReplyDelete
  42. OPI! I grew up with it and I've always loved it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hmm... prolly China Glaze. They put out my favorite colors. :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. China Glaze. It's been my favorite for years :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think I'd go with Sally Hansen. I've never tried a SH polish I didn't like, ther ar so many shades and finishes so I would still have a huge selection to pick from and they have lower end starting at $1 and the better salon formulas as well!

    ReplyDelete
  46. At the moment, I would choose the Sally Hansen range because of the wide range and the affordable prices :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Wow one brand... I've always loved Sally Hansen and China Glaze, between the two I've tried way more Sally Hansen. :)

    ReplyDelete
